The jig is fairly versatile. Once the pins are correctly aligned with the long axis of the tibia(2) the rod can be discarded as here(1), where it is preventing enough tibial resection due to its fixed length. The jig is simply moved proximally on the pins (compare with previous image). The jig can also be moved one step transveresly to adjust its medio-lateral lie. It is important to remove enough tibia at this stage.
