Clinical Specialist in Lower Limb Biomechanics

Simon qualified as an orthotist/prosthetist from Salford University in 1996.
He worked as an orthotist in Oxford for 7 years prior to moving to Birmingham. He is now clinical specialist orthotist for Trulife. Trulife is a leading provider of orthotic services and products to the NHS. He is also an Honorary Clinical Specialist in Lower Limb Biomechanics for the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust where he works as a key member of Mr Herron's team.

Simon specialises in Lower Limb biomechanics and orthotics with a special focus on the foot/ankle complex. He teaches this subject nationally and internationally. He is also responsible for  the Trulife gait laboratory (CORAD) and is actively involved in research and product development.

All orthotic devices are assessed and manufactured using the latest technologies such as dynamic pressure and force analysis, gait analysis, CADCAM manufacturing techniques and laser scanning technologies.
