Having removed the tibial jig and its attached intial talar jig the talar cutting block(1) is slid onto the two previously positioned pins. Care needs to be taken to keep the blade flat on the block to ensure a cut which corresponds to the upper surface of this jig.There are two talar jigs available marked 0 and 1. The 1 is more commonly used and removes an additional 1mm of talar dome.
